Willamette Valley Team Penning Association was formed over 15 years ago by a group of team penners who wanted to  practice the family oriented sport of team penning in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.

WVTPA rides in the main arena of the Linn County Fairgrounds located in Albany, Oregon. 

Monday night practices are held from the weekend after labor day in September lasting approximately to the first or second week of June, with only an occasional Monday night missed due to arena conflicts. 

Warm ups start at 6 p.m. with teams required to be signed up by 6:45.  Practice starts promptly at 7 p.m. 

WVTPA uses its Board as a Rating Committee and adopted a rating system for its members consisting of the following classes:

Penning:

• Open 

• Amateur 

• Novice
