How Are Points Calculated 2008/09? No Change from 07/08
New point calculation this year!
There are no bonus points in the divisions. (last year there were bonus points for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division Open, AM and Novice).

1 point is given for riding in the mixer (instead of 2 points like last year). You only can get 1 point for the mixer no matter if you ride 1 team in the mixer or all 4 teams in the mixer.

1 point is given for riding in the draw pot.

1 point will be given for each team that pens cows in each division (open, Am and Novice) and a person in their division can only get points for their top place team.  If you get a second place time AND a third place time, you will only get points for your SECOND place team.  Points are based on how many teams pen cows in each division.
example:
1st place (3 cows penned) = 8 points fastest time
2nd place (3 cows penned)= 7 points next fastest time
3rd place (3 cows penned) = 6 points next fastest time
4th place (3 cows penned) = 5 points next fastest time
5th place (3 cows penned) = 4 points next fastest time
6th place (2 cows penned) = 3 points next fastest time, less cows penned
7th place (2 cows penned) = 2 points next fastest time, less cows penned
8th place (1 cows penned) = 1 points slowest time, less cows penned
